Hello, dear friends and colleagues!

As the year 2023 has come to an end, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have supported me and my business, CHW Liberation Consulting, throughout this challenging but rewarding year.

CHW Liberation Consulting is a business consulting service that empowers and supports organizations, community-based programs, and associations that hire and support community health workers (CHWs) in the development of sustainable programs that promote health equity in our communities.

As a certified community health worker, health coach, mentor, and leader with over four decades of experience serving our communities, I know and believe that CHWs are an integral part of the coordination of care and are essential to closing gaps in care, creating value, and developing effective and sustainable practices.

My goal as a certified community health worker and professional trainer is to help CHWs and other health care workers gain the tools and resources they need to empower people to take charge of their own care for generations to come.

In 2023, I had the privilege of working with some amazing clients, partners, and collaborators who share my vision and passion for improving the health and well-being of our communities. Some of the highlights of this year include:

- Launching CHW Liberation Consulting in May 2023, after living in the homeless community for 3.5 years and overcoming many obstacles and challenges. Just to name a few. 
- Publishing two books: All Good Creations: A Teen's Journey to Self-Discovery and A Girl's Cry in the Dark: A Workbook for Healing and Growth.
- Becoming a member of the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHWA) and the Virginia Association of Community Health Workers (VACHWA).
- Obtaining the Virginia Board Certification for Community Health Workers in July 2023.
- Delivering training, coaching, mentoring, and consulting services to various organizations, programs, and associations that work with CHWs. 
- Receiving numerous awards and commendations for my work and creating teams that help many of our communities over the past thirty years.

None of this would have been possible without your support of those community leaders, universities, jobs and community organizations that I have been affiliated with in New Jersey, and the new connections in Virginia, your encouragement, feedback, referrals, and collaboration are all valuable. You have been instrumental in helping me grow my business and reach my goals. You have also inspired me to keep learning, improving, and innovating in my field.

I am truly grateful for each and every one of you, and I look forward to continuing our relationship in the new year. I hope that 2024 brings you more opportunities, success, happiness, and health.
